Our good friends at Wumbhi have put together a really cool event.
They are throwing intimate electronic music performances that are being broadcast/streamed live online.
Tonight is the first one, and after having been privy to their initial test event, it’s going to rule.

Just wanted to pop a little note up about a FREE WordPress music theme we are working on.
Being a musician myself, as well as helping many bands set up websites, I’ve gain some knowledge that I think will help out many of you.
Our intention for this theme is to create an easy to use, very simple displaying WordPress music theme that would allow artists to display the most important information.
As a promoter, when I arrive at a bands website, there are a few things that I want to see…basically their EPK(electronic press kit). At this point in time, your website IS your EPK.
Theme Options:
- Twenty Eleven Child Theme(default WP theme)
- Responsive design(works on desktops, laptops, cell phones, tablets, etc)
- Custom header image
- Custom background image
- Custom link colors
- Custom EPK page template
If you click on the image above, it will expand to a larger version and you can see the different sections of the EPK template. This is just a mockup image that we used to build the theme.
- Navigation Menu
- Featured Video(works with Vimeo, Youtube, etc)
- Music Player(works with Soundcloud, Bandcamp, etc)
- Featured Image Gallery(expands when you click them)
- 3 most recent Blog posts
- Custom sidebar area for widgets
Once released, we’ll do a short video tutorial on how to set it up and use it. We’ll go all the way through installing the theme, uploading pics, adding the video and player, and all the sidebar stuff(including Facebook and Twitter buttons).
