I hope you are all doing well. This one is for the search engines and anyone searching for the words “hijacking music house“.

If you are here to find out what and where it is, keep reading.

First, we were promoting a show at the Hijacking Music House including the bands Native, Former Thieves, and Psychedubasaurus REX.

This show has MOVED to Lennys in Atlanta.

NOTE: Do not show up at the Hijacking Music house and expect there to be a show. Instead you’ll just find a pit bull and muay thai artist training in the basement. COME TO LENNYS INSTEAD

So what and where is the Hijacking Music House?

It’s a place many of you already know and love for housing some great shows in the past, the Ozone Lair Recording Studio. It hasn’t changed from one to the other, it’s both.

To name just a few of the groups that have slid through the Hijacking Music House in the past:

• Psychedubasaurus REX

The Hijacking Music House is located in Decatur GA and from time to time puts on shows. Most of the time these shows happen because a band from out town is having a hard time getting a show here in Atlanta.

Being 10 minutes from downtown Atlanta as well as having the ability to record the show makes for a fine alternative to a bar or music venue in town.

Please note we do not just throw parties for just any ol’ band. We help out bands that we like and support. If you are just some cookie cutter version of some craptastic genre, please just accept our apologies for not getting you a show here now, and lets be friends I actually invite you check out any of the Hijacking Music artists profiles here on the site and see what kind of things we are up to.

These shows are also great networking events for musicians and music industry people of all kinds in the Atlanta area.  Most of the people that show up are in a band themselves, a producer, a promoter, just people that have a deeper connection to music. Those are also the kind of company we like to keep around so come chill!

Odist, the killer instrumental trio from Atlanta is set to release their debut album,titled On the 49th Day.

The official release date is April 16 with an tour to ensue up the east coast! Odist has two local CD release parties scheduled to celebrate the new record.

The first is in Athens, GA at Tasty World, where they will be joined by Stokeswood, Divided Like A Saints, and Co Co Ri Co on April 19, followed by an Atlanta 4/20 party at 529 in East Atlanta with Swank Sinatra and Vegan Coke!
